Useful Phone Apps

These phone apps can be sources of information in an emergency. 

My Shake - This app can provide up to several seconds of warning before an earthquake hits, depending on distance from the epicenter. Those few seconds can be enough notice to move away from windows and take cover.

Watch Duty - This app is run by volunteers providing information on wildfires.

FEMA - App run by FEMA that will provide information about emergency shelters and other resources related to the event.

Alert SCC - This isn't an app, but registering at this site will enable you to receive text messages from Santa Clara County regarding regional emergencies.
